With each new offering over the last 50 years each is marketed as the best and most reliable and cleanest shooting and we all know marketing is what it is.
With that in mind what do you believe is the best Beretta gas operated shotgun?
I love my three a400 xplors but I wouldn't give up my old a303

I’ve been considering picking up a A400 for the odd time I’m hunting waterfowl and would rather get my limit without pounding my shoulder to death with a vintage SxS. I’ve read recoil has a cumulative impact and as I turned 64 this summer, I think it’s beginning to get to me. Torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders doesn’t help. I have a Double Auto but that never strikes me as a waterfowl gun.

I have the set of a400 xplor series 12 20 and 28ga all without kickoff and they are very fast soft shooting guns. I use my a303 when in my kayak and the a400s when hunting from boats or fields. I plan to use the 28ga this fall for early season despite the price premium on the ammo

Lately I've been looking at the new a300 ultima and removing the kickoff from the stock but can't justify downgrading

I had an A400 xplor unico, it never malfunctioned once in the 3k + rds I put through it.

Not even once.

The 300-303, 390’s are all good guns. Depending on if you need choke tubes, an adjustable stock, 3” capability, you’ll need to stick with the 390.

I'd keep my 2 year old 12 ga A400 Xcel Black 30" Sporter with kick-off over my 20 yr old AL391 Urika Gold Sporter. Both bought new by me. No issues ever with either shotgun. A400 is softer shooting....very noticeable to me over a 140 bird sporting clays shoot.

Also have a 28 ga A400 Xplor 28" 5.5# wand of a hunting gun. Great grouse (ruffed, blue and sharptail), hun and chukar gun! Parked my SxS's last year in favor of this one and likely will again this year.

Also have a 20 ga AL391 28" Teknys Gold. Nice shotgun but probably my least favorite of the 4 mentioned.
