OK, for starters, flame proof suit firmly put on. I love my Beretta pistolas. My px4 fits my hand beautifully and it's a ###y hand gun. Bought a G17 gen 4 after holding one recently and Goddamnit it feels nice, shoots good. I love the darned thing. Had a reputable Glock Armourer do a trigger job and she's a beautiful piece. Used it at a local IDPA match and loved it.

I've drunk the KoolAid, it was purple and sweet. There's something to be said for Gaston Glock's creations. I like how easy it is to use. That's a big one for a defensive pistola. Unlike my Beretta which gouges and maims when cocking a Glock is easy peasy. Smooth as silk and reliable.

Flames start............

I was in the same boat. I didn't want a Glock just because of the cool-aid stigma. But as they say, don't knock it until you've tried it. Now I only shoot my Glock 17. Such is life.

Guys, I'm not gonna' lie to you, but that same "try out a Glock" voice in the back of my head never shuts up! I'm just a bit nervous, because I know that I will most likely enjoy shooting it, and then would probably have to add a couple of them to the arsenal. I always read up on them, and I love the upgrades available and how much easier they are to acquire than most other manufacturers. I'm a die-hard HK guy, and even though it takes eons to get parts, I swear by the brand. I know that HK hates me, because I suck...but whatever...I love their guns.

...but

I think I'm gonna' try that sweet purple KoolAid that the OP is talking about...sounds good, and I think that I might just like it.

Glock is to guns what the mouse is to computers....point and click. I love my Glocks because they go bang every time, and are simple to use. I don't know what more you can ask for in a firearm. On top of that, they're so popular that there are millions of modifications and personalizations you can make with inexpensive parts. You can't beat the price either when compared to similar quality firearms.

Now, if only Glock would tackle the rifle or shotgun market.

Welcome to the tupperware club. I added my first tupperware a just over a month ago. I've never been a fan of plastic guns but figure everyone should own at least one Glock in their collection. :p

I had the GLOCK 17 and 22 Gen 4's. Loved them. I WILL be getting another 17 for sure.

What's with the flame suit? So you bought a Glock 17 Gen 4, nothing wrong with that.

What are the "imperfections" then? ..aside from them being cut from the same tree that the ugly stick came from..

This. Except I like SIGs. I finally caved in and got a G19 and G21. Ok, I admit it, they are alright. The trigger sucks, imho, but they are an excellent pistol.

I need to find a guy at the range who shoots one and schmooze a mag or two. The 45 Colt SAA is usually good persuasion for a pistol swap, though a few guys have watched me shoot it and then refused to try -LOL

I purchased Glocks from the start. It was the only way to go based on a technical evaluation. I am pretty sure my Dad would have preferred a Glock over the 1911 and backup Luger he carried in WWII (same hand size).

The Beretta Px4 is absolute garbage!! I hate it... and even Beretta hates it. "It was their biggest mistake" (direct quote from a Beretta USA rep). The Glock is far superior to the PX4 in many ways, and to compare them is like trying to compare an outhouse to a juggling leprechaun, doing a handstand while spinning on top of his pot of gold! ...One belongs in the third world and the other is just so awesome it will blow your mind!!

You mean one of each model/caliber, right? :D

Tis true, the Glock trigger requires excellent technique in order to shoot the gun well.

It feels like a twig snapping, nothing compared to the greatness that is the SRT of SIG stardom. But, like I said they are excellent guns.

Started out with a ss 92fs and a 1911. I was never gonna own a glock, they are ugly and ....just so blocky and plain. After a year my curiosity won and I bought a g17 4th gen. Now I'm thinking of selling the other two. There is beauty in their simplicity.
