Beretta made in USA vs made in Italy

I'd say Italians. But for no real reason as I have no experience with either version.
But I do know the Made in USA Para is garbage compared to the Made in Canada ones.

Italians.

Get the ones made in late 1980's early 1990's. Straight dust cover, metal parts everywhere...including follower of magazine, smooth triggers, rich stain black finish.

The new slanted dustcover makes it look like the old 'Ladysmith' S&W pistols, ruined the lines of a classic pistol!!!!

Haha! I hate the slanted dust cover look as well.

Are you refering to the 90-Two?

No, the old 92 FS has a straight dust cover area... the M9 still does.

New 92FS have a slightly slanted dust cover.

He is referring to the front area of the frame. If you look closely at a beretta M9 & some 92's this area is straight. Others have slight slant to it like all inox models made in 1997 and newer.

Please show me this. The bottom one is mine that I got 3 weeks ago. I don't see the slant thing.

I would say the Italian one (as I prefer Made in Europe) but mine had a lot of plastic parts in it while all the US ones I have seen were all metal except grips.

Mine says "Made in Italy" on one side and "Beretta USA Corp." on the other. I assume mine is Italian but I have had it apart and can't find any polymer parts except the grips.

The area under the disclaimer on your beretta Read Manual Before Use....etc. If you look closely at the frame you will notice that it has a slight slope running from about the end of the trigger guard to the front of the frame. On the M9 it is completely straight.

I just got the italian made inox and i love this gun!! Cant beat the look and feel!!It feels alot different than the glock iam used to but im sure in time it will all be fine.

There you go. That should help.;)

Thanks, that splains everything and yes, I like the straight one a bit better now that you point it out. I would not have noticed it otherwise. The difference isn't dramatic enough for me to really care much but now I know more than anyone I shoot with so I will seem really "gun savvy"...

;)
