Hi all,

Anyone with feed issues where the round is partially in the chamber and magazine at an angle? Requires a firm push of the slide to chamber.

This was happening on std vel and high vel .22's very few rounds or so. This happens on a half loaded mag. This happens on both OEM mags.

If you experienced it, what was the fix?

Sincerely,

yea, i've had it happen- a lot of times it was the way i fed the magazine- if i was sloppy, i'd get a stoppage around round 4 or 7, didn't matter which mag- it seems to be better with the old tap the mag back so the round is right against the rear wall of the mag- i haven't REALLY found a cure for it yet- the same thing will happen with almost any gun if you don't feed it properly- lock the slide back, drop the mag, let the round fall out- and lose your group in the process, b/c you NEVER return to the exact same set of circumstances you were shooting before;sometimes it's the ammo- that's part of the game you play when you shoot 22- not every round is going to feed, not every round goes bang- that's why it's not used for a self defense round; some brands are better than others, and some guns are more finicky - i also have an old beretta 948 that regularly feeds but doesn't always go bang- often the solution is to eject the round and put the firing pin in a different spot on the rim- that tells me that the round has developed a "dead spot" in the primer
