Just handled one of these space guns for the first time. From what I seen, I kinda liked it. Im curious to hear people's reviews about this pistol.

So far the only thing I didn't like about it was that it is a measly .22 when it should be chambered as a phased plasma pistol in the 40 watt range. ;)

Don't you mean 40 gigawatt range LOL.

They are nicely built; a guy at our club has one, and it is reliable. Trigger is nothing to wright home about; and weird grip angle would make it not all that suitable as a trainer for anything else.

The S & W Victory is not as pretty a gun (my opinion), but it has a better trigger, is more customizable if you are into that; and our president has one, and he outshines us all on Thursday bulseye night. The S & W will cost a bit less too I think.

I'm a High Standard guy; have two of them.

Buy a Ruger MKIV and don’t look back. The one and only .22 pistol you’ll ever need unless you get into serious Olympic or bullseye type shooting.

Buddy of mine has one. Trigger is awful, even for a 22 plinker. Lots of FTFs and FTEs. He tried different ammo, even separated out all the rounds with bullets that seemed a little 'loose'. Still ran like crap. Plus there are very few accessories available if you want to modify it. Any Ruger MK II, III or IV, S&W Victory or Browning Buckmark will be a much better choice. High Standards were also very good pistols but I don't know what their status is right now regarding company viability.

I have one since 2008. Gone through over 12K rounds. I have found it extremely reliable. Extremely easy to take down and keep clean. I have a red dot on mine and is accurate enough. Love the grip angle, feels totally natural in my hand.
Trigger is meh, not much can be done to improve it as well.
I've found if the trigger bar and trigger return spring are not assembled just right it creates a lot of issues with FTF.

Lots of good High Standards still kicking around; original manufacturer has been out of business since the late 70's early 80's. Parts available including slides and barrels from Brownells; mags can be found but are expensive.

A good High standard sport king can be had for $300 up; a good target pistol $500 up; a good Olympic class target pistol $1000.00 up.

Interesting side note; High Standard is the only north american built pistol to ever win the Olympics. I have a sport king and a sharpshooter target pistol. both have the same excellent trigger; they use the same mag, and they fit and feel great with their grips the same angle and size as a 1911.

It's definitely "the ugly".
Find a used heavy barrel Ruger MKII, that was the best version they made, no extra safety crap, accurate and indestructible.

Agreed, Ruger MKII or S&W SW22 Victory.
I went with the Victory and couldn't be happier!
Have parts incoming from Tandemkross and Volquartsen.
Not needed at all but wanted for fun.
Stock trigger is nice as well.

Agree with the comments about it's looks. At first glance, I thought "Buck Rogers", but then found out it is very much modelled after the Whitney Wolverine. Heavily "art deco" influenced.

That said, I once held one at the old Kamloops WSS. As much as I didn't like the looks, I have never forgotten how good that thing felt in my hand.

I'm on a tight budget for the next year or so, but one day, I'm going to own one of them.

Also- agree with the recommendation for the Ruger mark series. ALL of them, including the mark 1. Exceptionally accurate pistols.

I saw it and fell in love. Then saw it in a movie and chuckled as it was used as a "Future gun" and then fired it a few times at an open range day and that was that.

Bought one from a CGN user here and have loved it ever since. Only put about 250 through it with cheap golden bucket ammo, no FTF or FTEs. Stories from around say they eat anything.

Hope this helps. I have the 6" barrel. There's 7.5's out there in the wild as well as that unicorn of a Carbine Kit I'm looking for.

I would rather have the Beretta 92FSR
Looks and feels like a regular FS of which I already have one, but cheaper for plinking
Anyone want to get rid of one?
