Has anyone ever seen a 687 Silver Pigeon IV (4) before?
Or does anyone own one, if so, where did you buy it?
I have never seen one in person, looks like they sold more over seas than North America...
I’m not sure if they didn’t sell well here, or were just never really marketed here?
Looks like there are more floating around in Europe.
I’m thinking these are far more rare than the SP V’s.
I’d love to own all of them, 1-5 and an EELL one day.

I have seen one once, it was in 20ga and used at a local gun shop. I should have bought it but didn’t know they where a harder to find model at the time. I would like to put a collection of silver pigeons together myself in deferent grades and gauge’s 410 to 12.

The Silver Pigeon 1V had a much shorter production span than the SP III or V and it also ran into a worldwide recession.it was replaced by the SP V. A good friend has a SP 1V in 20 ga, the only one I've seen. I've had a few SP V's in 28 ga and aside from the much nicer wood and the 'engraving' and colouring, they also have better polishing and finish on the barrels and better fitting with less break in required in the action as compared to the SP I. They are all field guns with automatic safeties but that is easily changed to manual safety if your main use is on the range.

Yah, I really like the look of them.
And like you said, the wood seems to be terrific on all of the photos I’ve seen online.
If find one, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen one in real life for sale around here but there always seems to be some on the US websites. I really like the blued receiver's and the normal fore stocks instead of the schnabel fore end like the sporting guns all have. All of the ones I've seen listed have pretty nice wood too! I'd be hard pressed to pass up a decent deal on a 20 g in good condition.
