I hate storing my over under in the safe as I generally transport it in its factory case. I have been leaving the shotgun in the case and locking it up. I just wish there was something better than plastic inside the case for the stock and barrel to rest on. I've seen Beretta made sock for their shotguns but it seems mine didn't come with these. Any idea on where to buy these?

Thanks,

There's a chap that sets up at the few gun shows I've wandered through.
He makes some that resemble Christmas stockings. Long and you just
fold them over and lace them up with the stitched laces he sews in.
Ten bucks a shot and they work great. Enough meat on them to save the
shooters in the locker and slim enough not to be hoggish.
Seems I buy enough and am always a few short.........daggnabbitt.

Is "Christmas" still okay to use?

Still tainted frum the last math lesson eye gartzs...............:sok2

If you want the Beretta ones, Stoeger sells them online for ~$15. Just Google it.

I've personally always liked the ones from Cabellas, as they seem to be well made and are tough/thick enough that I use them for transport in the car instead of the breakdown case. That said, I've never seen the Beretta ones in person, and they may be exactly the same.

I wouldn't store a rifle in one of those socks for any amount of time. I put my M70 in one for a couple of weeks in a hard case and when I pulled it out...rust. Good thing it was going to the smith for a rebuild. Lesson learned without cost.

Dunno, these socks from the gun shows are cloth and I've got most of mine in them and so far so good.
Been a few years too.
Then again it rains dust in this country.

Use only the silicone treated ones and wipe the gun down with oil at least twice a year and you will have no problems
Has to be out of the case however, that will cause problems
Been using them since they came out and have well over 100 in use even on spare barrels and zero problems with the silicone ones and syn gun oil
Most of mine are Browning or Allen
Cheers

Been using them for years (Cabelas), they are silicone infused. You cannot ignore them just because they are in a sock but it is a good storage method.
