Mechanical improvements include a revised bolt release, an aluminum rail and interchangeable choke tubes.

No word yet as to whether some of these changes will carry over to the Comp line, but it seems likely.

Here's a closer look at the new shell release setup, which was changed to prevent the "shell dump jam" if the wrong side of the dual function release lever was pressed by accident.

Yeah, looks like the price jumped about $300 U.S...

They're still not a bad deal though, considering the only really comparable shotguns are the Benelli M2 Tactical, which has a slightly higher MSRP, and the Benelli M4, which is now close to pricing itself out of the market.

And I bet part of the price increase is due to the new finishes.

Yeah, they will still be competitive. I picked up one of the Tactical models to compliment my Comp on an impulse buy but haven't even shot it. I always end up taking my Comp to the range.

Man, that's suck. What am I going to do with the old model ? I guess I keep shooting until the newer model is getting cheaper a bit.

It's nice to see some Italian firearms companies finally start to respond to user feedback.

The next thing you know, they might even discover a concept known as "customer service." :p

I've read some good things about Beretta's CS in the US. Not sure how it translates here but it makes me curious since you raise the point. Anyone had to deal with a Beretta warranty issue in Canada before?

I don't know about Beretta specially, but my experience with other Italian manufacturers is enough to make you want to tell them to go get their shinebox.

Beretta in the U.S. might be ok since they are a major corporate presence with manufacturing facilities, etc, but that's not the case up here.

I sent my Benelli M2 in for warranty last year and it was fast and painless :) I can't see Beretta being any different as it's the parent company of Benelli.
