Hi Folks, I am trying to get my head around the legality of Storm mags.

If the mag is marked CX4 Storm and holds 10 rounds then it is prohibited right?

On the other hand the same 10 round mag that is not marked Storm is legal?

So if this is correct then it seems that the words CX4 Storm are illegal. This seems to be one of the strangest CFC rulings yet!

The words 'CX4 Storm' on a magazine that holds more than 5rnds are prohibited.
'CX4 Storm' mags are perfectly legal (if you don't mind the 5 rnds).

:p

From what I've heard (hearsay- take it for what you will)

Branded "Storm" mags holding more then 5 rounds are illegal.

As they are centerfire mags.

However, I've heard that the Storm accepts Beretta m92 mags, being pistol mags they have a limit to 10 rounds.

Again this is just what I have been told.

^ That is correct - I believe Wolverinesupplies posted that earlier. If you had STORM mags you could also send them in (forget where) and get Beretta 92 mags in return :D

True! Send 5rd Storm mags to:

Stoeger Canada Ltd
905-436-9077
1801 Wentworth,
Whitby, ON L1N 8R6

It's crazy. I'm going to grab a crayon and scribble "Remington 7615P" on all of my AR15 mags and then unpin them, as they are now not designed for a semi auto.

Retards that make up the rules.

yeah sure that's fine if you have a 9mm or 40, but i had a 45 and the 92/96 series doesn't come in .45....so screw it , i sold it

Cougar mags, which Stoeger has, are 8 rounds only anyhow. They aren't marked CX4 either. Just wait till the 20 rounders come out in the USA, we can own those pinned to 5! yeehaw.......oh wait I mean DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!

Technically, no. The law has the wording "originally designed for", so dremmeling off the word CX4 doesn't change what it was originally designed for.

Dumb, I know.
