**UPDATE** I neglected to mention that the model I viewed is the NEW PX4 Storm Inox.**

I had a bit of time to kill the other day so I stopped in at the local Cabellas. Sales person said they just got in the new Beretta Inox a few days ago so I thought I would give it a look see.....

I could not believe the loose tolerance between the frame and slide. I mean it actually rattled when you move it!! Even a light shake in the hand and you could hear the parts chattering. I have never owned a Beretta pistol, can this be normal? I sure hope not, I had actually thought of buying one until I handled the pistol.

All I can say is my Beretta 92A1 is tight as hell. You can shake it all you want and it doesn't make a sound. I would say ask to check out another Beretta because as far as I know, this is not normal for a 92 series.

I have an INOX and as stated by the previous poster mine is tight and I have never experienced any of the symptoms you are describing.

Never seen a loose Beretta...Are you sure you're not talking about the barrel moving when the slide is locked back?

No sir, the slide was engaged like the rest in the display case. In fact, the sales lady that showed it to me grinned as soon as I started fiddling with it and began getting all the play in the fitting of the slide almost as if she was thinking "you noticed that did you?". So I take it that one was a lemon then....

wow then yea something truly not right there, good call on walking away and thinking it was not right as it clearly was not!!

Well thanks, I clearly was not the first to notice, the sales person obviously knew about it. I just don't see why they don't send it back for another, that would sure be easier than dealing with some type of catastrophic failure down the road....
