so, I am doing my research and getting excited about buying a Beretta storm for 3-gun shooting and I came across this article
http://www.cfc-cafc.gc.ca/compliance-conformite/bulletins/police/bulletin68_e.asp
Not sure if the floks shooting a 10-rounds mag are considerent not compliant, or can you use a 10 rounds mag as long as it is a handgun mag (not with the CX4 storm stamp)

Do you know?

Thanks
P.S. not too sure if this is the right forum, but certainly not that far off.

You can use the mags for the 92 or 96 but not the ones for cx4. The ones with CX4 MUST be pinned to 5 or less rounds permanently. Or you can destroy or dissassemble them and even give them up to your local PD.

That's funny. So we can still use the 92 10 rounds mags in the storm and still be considered legal!
where is the logic in this?

Can you use the storm mags in your 92? Or are they not interchangeable?
They are the same and interchangable. The only difference is that the storm ones are marked "CX-4 Storm".
Stoeger (Can. distributor) is replacing "Storm" mags with 92 mags through dealers, so there really shouldn't be any "Storm" mags out there soon.

If its a 45 cal though then you have to have CX-4 mags sadly... There is no beretta 9x series pistol in 45 so in all 45 cal ones your stuck to 5 which kinda bites, but honestly the 9mm is far more competitive...

Yep 8 rnd Cougar/8045 Mags, however since beretta doesnt make them anymore the new ones are all stamped CX-4 as far as I know. I guess you could get mec gars and such, or some from CDNN...

Good point - I forgot about 45s.
