I've only got to play with a standard 1301 Tactical for a brief time, but for whatever its worth I'd still prefer its cousin the Benelli M2 over it, due to a less muzzle heavy balance, slimmer fore end and lack of a gas system.
 
Gabe Suarez is hot on the 1301 lately.

I can never really tell with that guy whether it's being hot for what he sells vs actually digging it over say the Benelli M4.

He's a blatantly cynical promoter of his products, in fact it wasn't all that long ago when he was saying that the shotgun was obsolete.

Indeed he did !! Read that article... that was what, like a week ago ? (maybe a few months ago)

Now he's also coming out with a PGO pump ... lol

Just like he was this huge AK proponent up until a few years ago, and now he caters heavily towards the AR market that he used to denigrate.

Yeah, I followed all that as well. Something about him has always rubbed me the wrong way.

SG's are a limited role niche weapon but to write them off all together was stupid on his part. He tries to come off as ahead of the pack but I swear some us on here are ahead of him !

I respect his insights on weapons and tactics, but I think he's unscrupulous at best, a sociopath at worst.
 
Bass pro and Calgary shooting centre have them. I have a couple thousand rounds through my 1301 comp with no complaints
