Beretta UGB25X

The Beretta USA Website says "To find out when this product will be available, please sign-up for email notification", so I don't think it's out yet. At a retail price of $3,195.00 U.S. it might not be their best seller. You can get a pretty nice 682 Gold E Sporting for $3,595, or a 687 Silver Pigeon III Sporting for only $2,795 (all U.S.$).

The jury is still out on these guns, I am not sure I see any advantage in them, except that they could be a comfortable trap gun. Wait and see.

They haven't shown up anywhere in Canada but they are listed in the latest Wholesale catalogue for $4199.95. Whether they actually have them in stock is another matter.

I gave one a very good look over at the Grand American last August. It's a big heavy trap gun with a very low bore axis and felt like a big unsingle. I would expect it to be very soft shooting. The bottom eject will be much appreciated by other shooters on the line.

One question arose on my examination. When the gun is open a lot of the action is exposed to the elements compared to an over/under. That combined with the exposed shelf that holds the second shell means the action might be more vulnerable to malfunction in rain, snow or dusty conditions.

At the price I wouldn't be rushing out to buy one. I'd rather let someone else get one and see how they like it after a year.

I've been wanting to get my hands on one since they first showed up last year at the Grand. I guess there's no big rush from Beretta to get them out there and shooting. I've yet to see one or know anyone who has seen on on the line anywhere because of avalabilty I'm told. They are desinged as an International or Bunker Trap gun more so than gun for North American Trap.
I can tell ya though that if I had the $$$ I'd love to be the first kid on the block with one.....
