I’m trying to locate a rifled barrel for my Xtrema 2. I’ve posted on the EE, I was hoping someone might have a lead on one and point me in the right direction. If nothing else I guess I would have to import one in from the states. If that gets to be too expensive I could always look into purchasing a semi- slug gun. If that’s the case, does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

I don't think the barrel is still being made so finding a new one would be out
IMO you are talking getting one if it comes up on gunbroker state side and hiring prophet river to bring it to canada for you
I have done that a few times with barrels in the past I could not find in canada
Cheers

The E2 is an awesome shotgun and on my never sell list. But if you can even find a rifled barrel it will cost a fortune. You can likely pick up a Savage 212/220 for the price of that barrel. If you want a shotgun that shoots like a rifle, that’s your best bet and value.

Do you need to go through prophet river or others to bring a barrel over the border? I’m wondering if I could just drive across and pick one up. I would declare it, but can I get in trouble?

Thanks

You cannot bring it back.Don't even let that thought cross your mind . It is not a lot of money to get Prophet River to handle it for you
However before you buy one state side call them to make sure they will handle it and they will tell you where to have your barrel shipped etc etc
Cheers

Thank you 3macs1

No problem. Clay has handled a few shotgun barrels for me over the years and it was painless and very reasonable
The issue I had was getting a seller state side to sell me since I was paying from up in canada and some I had to get my two brothers state side involved
Gun broker is where I bought a few and corsons barrels, there is also the barrel exchange and maybe others
I am not sure if Clay still uses Big leroys in montana to ship to but they can tell you that
All the best with your search
Cheers
