Have any of you guys owned or handled the Bergara B14 Hunter/Wilderness models and the Ridge models? Or even just handled the Ridge?
I'm familiar with the Hunter and Woodsman with the #4 contour barrels but never handled the Ridge with a #5 contour....they really look cool, but I am hoping they are not too front heavy to make them cumbersome to use and carry?
Overall weight is supposed to be 7.5 lbs (short action, 22 inch) so not bad overall but more the balance. For example I find Remington 700s with 20" heavy barrels a bit past my preference for offhand shooting or comfy carrying, while a heavier rifle that balances differently is fine.
