A few of these finally made it to Aus recently and I collected this one last week.
I pulled it apart, cleaned & lubed where necessary, adjusted the trigger to its lowest setting, re-torqued action back into stock using 30 inch pounds and mounted a Leupold 3-9 EFR ready for a function test.
My wife (senior Citizen!) put 75 rounds of assorted SK through it earlier this week.
This wasn't meant to be an accuracy test so the ammo was just loose stuff I had left over from several different lots I had been testing.
The rifle ran perfectly all morning and & obviously has plenty of potential to shoot well - Results on the target below.
I've mounted a Weaver 6-20 in Burris Signatures and will be interested to see what my little mate can produce next trip out with a bit of proven ammo.

I'm sure your wife will get better results with proven ammo. If she likes it a great deal, you may have competition for use of the rifle.;)

The firing pin imprint is interesting for its location.

For TheWhole9Yards, the group sizes are not unusual for a range near 50 yards or meters. If it was closer to 25 yards or meters it would be hardly worth showing except to justify disappointment and there is none. At about 100 there would be cause for celebration of good luck at how well a non-match rifle performed with random ammo.

What if it was shot at 75yards?

I looked long and close to the Bergara , just didn't care for the
high bolt throw and the large magazines.

I'm not into Remington 700 training .

Only my impressions ..

No worries on the OP's B14R. I'm happy with my one as it shoots decent enough for my uses, mainly small critter removal and fun shooting out to 200 yds on 4-6" plates. I prefer to use ammo that gives minute-o-squirrel out to 100 yds or so.

Initial test shots on a breezy day @ 80 yds.

Me results last outing whilst testing reasonably priced ammo for gophers & such. Note the vertical stringing of the Federal stuff. Wee bit of velocity differential
goin' on. Still good fer aiming at the wet spot on gophers though.;)

Just fitted a fresh Timney Calvin Elite trigger on my one & will get out this week for some more entertainment. These be hefty rifles for some folks, but
they are well made and rather adaptable thanks to the 700 footprint layout.
