Bergara BXR Carbon: looking for real world owners to talk to.

Hi folks,

Looking to purchase a BXR Carbon and I wanted some feedback from owners.

I am looking to hunt small game with this (mostly squirrels) so I’m wondering if any owners can report of accuracy with 36grain mini-mags and 40g velocitors.

Any other info/thoughts/musings or modifications that you’ve done to your BXR would be great to hear about!

I have a BXR with a steel barrel, I tried the ammo I had on hand. I got very good results with CCI SV, I did not feel I needed to look further for my uses. it is a good place to start.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but if anyone wants to know, I got a Carbon one, and it is dime sized groups at 50 yards with CCI Velocitors. Definitely a great small game rifle, as well as target.
