I don't think I've ever heard of this brand of Remington 700 style action / rifle. Why aren't they more popular / common? The stock seems quite good for the price-point and the action looks nice too.

I have an B14 HMR in 6.5 creedmoor and it is a true 3/4 MOA gun with factory match ammo. I've done .3 MOA 5 shot groups with Hornady Match a few times but I'm in no way a perfect shooter. I have a friend with a B14 BMP in 6.5 and he's getting 1/4 MOA with handloads. Yes, it's basically just a re-worked Rem 700 with some extra's but it shoots well and the adjustable stock of the HMR is great. Not sure why the hate towards Bergara, but all I can say is that I love mine.

I got it at Londero Sport outside of Montreal. They ordered a few Bergara rifles but all they have left is one b14 hunter i think. I'm sure they will order more since the ones they had sold in the first week. Great rifles for the money.

Well the stock isn't a McMillan that's for sure! But it is much more solid then the plastic stocks that come with most Remingtons or Tikkas. Overall adjustability is good. The comb height could be a bit higher for my mount and scope setup but the length of pull is perfect. That being said, I will probably change the stock for a Manners in the near future. But I don't feel the need to do that right away like with my other factory rifles. Try to find a shop that has one and go handle it in person. It's the only way to really get an idea. All I can tell you for sure is that at 1500$, it is a hell of a deal.

I've looked into those rifles and they're quite interesting. The action is a Remington 700 clone so most aftermarket parts should be compatible. Ed Shilen was a consultant in setting up the Bergara barrel manufacture so apparently they make good barrels. Some of their rifles and barrels use a barrel nut so swapping barrels should be easy. Their B14 HMR has all the features I'd be looking for in a bolt action rifle at a reasonable price. As with anything else new and exciting on the Canadian market, availability will be an issue.

Bergara is the barrelmaker that T/C Encore guru Mike Bellm was (maybe still is...) gushing about when I received his regular email advertisements. He claimed they were well-made and a terrific bargain. He sold a lot of them to performance-oriented T/C owners.

I didn't realize they sold entire guns as well.
