So after seeing how well these things shoot at the Farky,
I scrounged up a couple of boxes. What are you guys that are shooting them using for loads
and how are you seating them?I'm running mags so I'm curios where to seat them to get the best
results(rifle dependent of course).

46 grains of Varget (Moly coated bullet), 210M primer, Lapua case. .020" off the lands but I hear some guys are loading them .040" off the lands.

I've heard that some folks are .40" off the lands.I'm pretty sure that's what Bob Pitcairn told me to try.
I think with my mags I'm going to be even farther than that maybe.
Anyone know what max load is for varget with a naked bullet?
Ill be using Norma cases with CCI BR2s.

What calibre are you going to try them in? I have load data from berger for the 308 & 30-06.

Cheers!

Bob Pitcairn uses N150 for all his loads, and he does seat these Triple Nickels back a little bit.

If I were loading this bullet (and I plan to as soon as I burn off my supply of Sierras), I'd try different charges of Varget between 45.0 and 47.0 grains, depending upon the barrel and action.

Most people find that somewhere between 46 and 47 grains is best in general with 155s, with 46.5 being the most common choice. I personally use Winchester cases and they are thinner and can take slightly more powder than heavier cases like Lapua. So far, my rifle has preferred 47.0 grains of Varget with whatever 155-grain bullet I've used.

You just have to experiment with different charges until you find the sweet spot for your individual rifle.

Yeah I plan on getting some N150 after I burn through the 8 lbs of varget I have.
Looks like the consensus is that I'm probably going to fall between 45 and 47ish.
The action is a remington and the barrel is a Rock 5r.

So Beltfed you seat them to 2.8 OAL eh?Is that because of a mag or another reason like they shoot really well seated there?

My TRG allows 2.850" and the Pmags only 2.800". The difference in seating depth doesn't seem to matter between the two guns I'm using - but I'm still pretty early in testing loads for the two...
