Just got my newest project out to the range a while ago. Rem 700 SPS Tactical barrelled action bedded into a 700P stock with a Leupold Mark 2 6-18 scope/Warne rail/TPS rings. First load I tried was 69g SMKs over 24.5g Varget, seated 20 thou off. Shot a pair of 5-shot groups measuring .394 and .397. Not sure if a factory barrel is going to shoot much better than this, but I've got some 70g Bergers and 69g Scenars lying around I want to try. Can I safely use the same load with these bullets ? Berger doesn't give data on their website, and Lapua only provides data for VV powders.

Yeah, add .224 to those numbers for outside/outside measurements. I don't shoot BR, but I thought that was the 'approved' method for groupsize.....outside to outside minus the bullet diameter.

Those groups are exceptional. As to the other bullets, yup, should be fine. Nothing hairy there. Seating depth may be a bit of an issue with the Berger VLD's that seem to prefer being jammed, but otherwise you are not red-line with that powder load.

To be honest though, those groups are as good as it gets... stop where you are and be happy with your load.

If you e mail berger they will e mail all the data they have, be specific.caliber and bullet you would like to shoot in grns etc.i was looking for a load for my 300wsm and they sent me a sh-t load !
