Thanks Ryan, I shot Bergers all week, and decided to switch to Lapua 180 grn L for the last two 1000 yard matches, and was impressed with them. It was the first time I used them other than a bit of load development before heading to Phoenix. Canadians did well there for trying conditions.

It was great shooting with you once again Jim. I think you may be on to something with the Lapua bullets, or even the Berger VLDs seem to be more stable and don't cause the same kind of elevation issues that the Hybrids apparently suffer. A few of us plan on doing some testing with different bullets to see if we can find a bullet that is more stable in switching winds.

Cheers
Eric

I pointed 150 Lapua 180's to try , wish I had taken more , looks like they don't leak out as quick or as much as the vld's in a wind switch. when my chamber is set up to us them (.280" throat) it pretty much eliminates using the shorter Bergers. Fwiw.

I have tried them and like the 180 hyb better But my Free bore is only 200
I could not get the speed up to where my best node is
