Been watching the bergera bxr 22lr ads and to be honest im quite interested. Price seems a little high but still be cheaper than building a 1022.
However i keep reading the bxr is the first of their rimfire models. Does anyone have any info on whats in the works from bergera?

Rifles are expected to release at the end of summer so we should hear about them soon. Bergara barrel on a rigid receiver that seems promising!

Do these guys make anything original? The centerfire is a 95% Remington 700 clone, and now we have a $1000 10/22 clone. Did Norinco buy them out or something?

If they put a really nice stock trigger and barrel on probably the most popular footprints in the world is this not a good thing. Companies have been copying rem and ruger for ever but these guys make them better, how is this a problem

Why not?

It's a smart move. Then aftermarket and existing parts will fit.

Second on that note!

I don’t think you will see a wood stock from them

They have wood stocked centerfires so one can hope if they jump into the bolt action rimfire market theyll bring a lil more class than whats available.

Right now its a choice between cz and cooper or ansultz. That leaves quite the gap. But i havent been able to find out what other platforms are coming from bergera. My google fu is weak perhaps but they mention this semi auto is their first model with more to come
