Berkut rifle ?

Hi guys... a bit of an odd question here. not sure of I should post as hunting or red rifle, feel free to move if needed.

I remember clearly a few years back there was some Russian dude with a shop near Montreal (Armeries Russes or something like that) that had some pretty nice russian stuff in stock. They had plans on bringing in lots of cool little toys but many were denied at the border as being too AKish, the shop closed down not too long after.

What they did have if my memory serves me correctly was the Berkut rifle. It was a semi auto "hunting" rifle in 7.62x54 or 7.62x51 I just can't remember, and probably one of the closest thing to an SVD one can get around here. I'm assuming some of them have probably been sold here and there. Big question is, are there any kicking around anywhere in Canada ? If so, what's the value on one of those babies ?

Any thoughts ?

IIRC they closed shop because the guns were not allowed into the country.

Speaking of Armrus, I'd be curious to know what happen to the container of guns that was held at custom?

If I remember right, there were a bunch of guns similar to the Voere 2185

But the CFC decided to change the classification as a variant of the Vper...

Don't know for sure but those sound like Medveds. I thought they were trying to bring in Saigas which are much more closely related to the AK and definitely a variant.
