Hey Guys, I picked up a bag of Berrys 150gr 30-30 bullets the other day. Been looking online for some load data and finding a lot of different directions. Anyone have any good starting point for a plinking load? I currently us RL-15 for powder in my usual 30-30 loads.

Thanks.

32 to 35 gr would work for a jacketed bullet.

IS the Berry's a plated? If so, I have used plated 150s in a 30-30 with a reduced laod of a faster powder, like 3031.

Could not get full velocity without blowing the accuracy.

My book says 30 grains of RE15 would push a jacketed bullet out of a 20” barrel at 1823 FPS. Berry’s claim these bullets can be pushed to 1950 FPS. I would start with 30 grains and increase until you lose accuracy ... or decrease until your accuracy improves.

win 748 to is the best powder for 30-30 lever
I use win 760 in my bolt action 30-30 whit spitzer bullet
I use win 760 olso in my single shot 30-30ai

7-9 grs of red dot works well. Best accuracy in my 336 was 9 gr. Very little recoil and under an inch at 50 yds. I tried some reduced H4895 loads but they shot much crappier and had a lot more recoil.
