Best 1" tactical scope for this .22?

The rifle is an older Cooper model 36 in .22 lr. and it came with 1" Warne 11mm wide bases and high Warne rings (7.3/22 I believe)

I would like a ballistic turret in a very good quality scope for range work without having to switch the bases.

Do you have any suggestions?

Bushnell Elite tactical 10x40. Only costs 275$ and the tracking is amazing. Only problem for .22lr is the parallax is preset to 100 yards and beyond.
 
What retical do you want? How far will you be shooting?
You *might* need to get a sloped base if you want to shoot really far.

for a .22 you are going to need and want a adjustable objective or parallax!
id vote for elite 3200 5x15 or a leupold 6.5x20 or if you could find a 3.5x10 leupold tactical! all with adj objective!
 
If you got a cooper than a ziess conquest would be the cheapest I would go. Take the balistic idea out of your head cause with a 22LR it's all about drop and every different type of round you use will give you a different poi. Although if cheap and tactical is the the way to go NcStar or BSA Sweet 22 would be right up your alley.

I'm leaning toward the adjustable objective or parallax.. i view this as a very nice rifle and it would be a personal best for me with a .22 to get out tightly beyond 200 yards.

Does the leupold 3.5 x 10 tactical come in 1" or am I looking at new rings and bases to move up to 30mm?

Well if you are not 100% needing a Mildot retical then I'd take a hard look at a Weaver. Either a Grand-slam 6.5-20 or V16.
I've got a V16 with the fine-dot retical and that thing is excellent. 1/4min short turrets are easy to read and very repeatable.

A ballistic turret really isn't a solid plan for .22lr long-range fun. Better yet to just put a dope-card in the rear scope cover, then you can make it 100% for your favourite rounds.

Of course if you want to drop the bigger bucks then the ultimate .22lr scope is a Leupold 6.5-20EFR. They are basically the "go-to" silhouette scope. Seeing how you are on VI, there is a very active small-bore silhouette shooting scene.

leupold made some 1inch tube ones years ago, cant remember if they all had adj objectives or not? new ones are 30mm.
 
What I just did...

I zero'd my scope at 50 yards.

Then take a peice of plywood and make a stand for it. Plywood should be about 2 feet wide by 5 feet high. Set the plywood up and use a level to make sure its level. Put your target at the top.

Now use a rangefinder and set your plywood target at 75/100/125/150/175/200 yards and fire 10+ rounds, maybe 15-20 per range.

Once done, you will clearly see your groups. Measure from the bullseye down to each group core. Write this info. Now go on JBM ballistics and fiddle with the muzzle velocity to get the drop to be what you had measured for each distance. Beside the distance is the MOA that you need to dial up to adjust.

You can get a custom turret (target style or M1 tactical style) made by leupold that will have ranges laser engraved to match the corresponding MOAs.... or you can just use a range card as a reference. Vortex also offers custom turrets

You can also look at the nikon prostaff with 150 bdc reticle or nikon p22 with 150 bdc... using the spot on technology though... it doesn't look like they really calibrated it for .22 ammo even though its stated that they did....
