Ruger Sr1911 is a great buy. True 70 series gun, lack of adjustable sights only draw back. These are a pistol you can buy and shot as is or slowly add to and up the performance, a real solid gun to start with. Kimbers are great but you'd only be close to a base gun with that budget.

I too like the norincos I already have the 19111ac in blue and if all goes well on Monday canpar will be delivering my Dominion Arms full size 1911 I got for less then $300 on sale via Canada Ammo...I don't shoot often as I'd like so why pay more for a name ...
but you do get what you pay for I like inexpensive so I get more firearms to my collection.
