I want to upgrade the sights on my Kimber, any help would be appreciated.

I would prefer a contrast from the front sight post to the rear sight, maybe dots like my old Walther. Are dots a step down in sighting accuracy? Are they just a low light concept?

I got this Meprolight sight brochure from TSE when I bought my pistol but I am sure there are other options to look at first. The Mepros seem to be all about low light tritium inserts, which does look pretty cool.

Got any URLs to some awesome sights for my 1911? (no pun intended :D)

Just a comment that caution can be needed since there are a lot of different sights available for 1911's and ways that they are fixed into the slide. The machining required varies a lot and it's important to make sure that the sight you buy is compatible (or can even be made compatible) with what you're replacing. Replacing the rear sight may require a new front sight in some cases, too. I'd say discuss with the gunsmith as to what will work before buying the sights. The good news is that you can bring the slide into the gunsmith without any need for an ATT, so he can look at what it has now and make recommendations for a replacement, or tell you how much work is involved in what you'd like to use.

I agree with Ed - take the time to find the right gunsmith. I have a model 80 with a dovetailed rear sight (don't know who made it) that sits rather high. Therefore the front sight is also high, and seems to catch on everything.
