best .22 glock conversion?

I had one on my G17 gen3 with a steady diet of Blazer ammo. Very little issues with it when clean. In the end I sold it cause I got lazy swapping the slides back and forth. The AA also made the G17 feel too light. Polymer mags are a bit pricey and can be difficult to find but they run well.
I replaced the AA kit with a Sig1911-22 which my son prefers shooting. Besides, 2 HG's are better than one.....

There are only 2 Glock 22lr conversion kits available that I know of, but the AA kit is vastly superior. Look on YouTube for "nutnfancy advantage arms glock" and watch his review. Like him or not, he is VERY thorough and honest and will give you all the details.

anyone try the tac. solutions one? i have read, and heard that the AA ones are ammo picky. I need it to be able to digest a steady diet of the cheapest garbage ammo out there. anything that works with bulk 22 ammo?

The Tac Solutions is the #2 Glock kit, the Advantage Arms kit is #1. Almost ANY 22LR semi-auto handgun with full reciprocating slide is going to be fussy with ammo, requiring high-velocity 22LR ammo, because it needs to have enough power to kick the slide back to cycle the action properly. CCI Mini-Mag is best in my experience, and what AA recommends for their kits. Now that mine is broken in, it seems to work pretty well with Federal 525 bulk packs too. If really just want a semi-auto 22 that eats anything, buy a Ruger Mk3 or Browning Buckmark. Or if you have LOTS of money and can find one, get a CZ Kadet.

As I posted above, take some time to watch Nutnfancy's review on YouTube. It will answer all your questions about both these kits better than I can. Here's the link:

It's cheaper to buy a complete .22 handgun than it is to get the conversion. IMO. They are around $425 +/- a few $$ and extra mags are about $52 each.

Pretty much the same experience with my g17 kit. Ran it with mini mags for the first 1000 rounds after that it was broke in I guess and started to feed most high velocity ammo. I run it with Remington golden bullets right now and it is almost 99 percent reliable.

The mags can be tough to find but they pop up once and a while.

I've had AA kits for both gen3 and 4 wasn't a fan. IIRC had a KB with one too.

Much happier with my GSG! May more reliable and better made.
