Best 3 gun's Ar-15 out of the box?

What is the best 3 gun's type AR-15 out of the box? i find only 2 you can buy for a reasonable price. i did not include KAC ( awesome AR's) because of the price.

I really like the POF the review are stelar but i also like Daniel Defence i own in the past 3 and never have a single problems!

My - and +

- DD in Canada is easy to get in Canada and have very good support who sell POF?

- The DD is 18 inch barell maybe a bit to long for me !

- I don't like DD's new furnitures stock and grip.

- POF as a piston super clean ! more maintenance?


What you guys think?

Why would someone need to change anything? If you can't break top five without modifications you simply can't shoot well enough to be a threat for the podium. Changing sh*t on your guns won't make you a better shooter. Making hits faster than others and being able to run your gear as in load your shotgun effectively and efficiently will go a lot further than any parts swapping. I posted this is another thread but I will tell the story again. I watched a guy with a bone stock AR with irons and a stock Glock absolutely destroy 3 other competitors with all the whizzy go fast 3 gun mods. One guy had dual optics(unlimited class) on his AR and a reddot on his pistol. It isn't the gear that makes the shots it's the shooter.

^^^ true story
my last 3gun ar15 was/is a DD Mk18 with 10.3" bbl, very fast target transitions, very easy to stop the swing, and just all around faster for what canadian 3gun is. targets are usually 300 meters and in.

better to worry about the optic more then the gun.

100% agree, especially if your range and competitions remain under 300yds. 18" is nice and softer shooting but the 11.5" swings alot faster in the CQB style 3 gun stages and more than makes up for any additional recoil. I usually just use a red dot under 250yds, no magnification really needed.

I should add, I love that Geissele trigger that comes in the DD Pro model, have it in all my ARs.

Only problem is, anyone who is seriously getting into 3 gun, will be tempted by and eventually go to a US match.

Sub 16" barrels, you won't be able to bring them into the US.

Something to consider.

not a fan of scopes, to little of eye relief and to tight of a box..... that being said a new gun i put together has a specterDR 1-4x on it but have not used.

my goto's have always been aimpoint H1's

also seems like everyone and their dog is running scopes so you might as well jump aboard and become familiar.
 
kinda obvious stag 3g for the complete package

the ones you mention are pretty damn far from what a 3 gun AR is

do you mean cqb competitions instead of 3gun?

18 nch with a rifle, or intermdiate gas system, a good free floated barrel and match chamber, a good 2 stage light trigger, a good linear compensator, heavy stock

I love my Stag 3G and LMT SLK8 3G, change the trigger to a flat Geissele 3G super dynamic (STAG come with a curved Geissele) put a 1x6 scope of you choice and Whitt Machine MRE muzzle brake and you are good to go.
