Not looking for models, but I'm actually wondering which of the following 308/7.62 black rifles is worth every dollar paid for the gun.

The list therefore is:

-FN FNAR: $1600
-Rob Arms XCR: $2600
-Kel Tec RFB: ?

And reccommend any others I may have missed.
(No- I don't consider the M14 a black rifle.)

DND AR10 I have was worth every penny.

But as for your choices the FNAR is hard to beat for accuracy and price. $1000 savings will buy you a nice optic. After that it's the RFB due to handling. I personally wouldn't bother with the XCR.

The LMT MWS308, KAC SR-25 and H&K MR308 are all, IMO, worth every penny.

I wouldn't include them.

Another guy, in this other thread said that those rifles repeatedly fail under combat conditions.

;)

The FNAR does look nice. Just can't seem to find a good, detailed video on Youtube on it.

Also- I guess if we're considering restricteds, how does the Remmy R25 fare out?

R25 is great for normal range or hunting use. It's price friendy and it comes pretty basic so you can learn to tinker and up grade. I believe it's a rebadged DPMS.

Abhobbiest is very knowledgable about them.

If only.
And I noticed you said "for normal range". What range do you consider to be normal?

I was referring to the R25 having been produced and advertised as an american hunting rifle and "normal range use" as in plinking, paper punching or whatever you happen to place down range.

If I was in the market for tinkering with a 308 AR it would be the R25 but as it stands, I have an Armalite SASS that needs a barrel for completion.

Ohhh- I got ya.

Plus its the epic-centre of ###y.

Actually- it isn't ###y, but it is awesome.

You like the looks of the FNAR?

You know I always wondered who ordered those over 50 #### mags, or the heavy chick ones. I thought Fireball was the only customer.

Hey Epoxy, what's you wife/girlfriend look like?

Oh, right........you don't have one!

The wheels on the bus go.........over Epoxy

Oh you were already thrown under that bus. Let's be honest if you are posting about the "black rifle" FNAR ie Fudd rifle with training wheels then it had to happen.
