Best .308 factory loads for 16inch barrel??

I don't reload (yet). Recently picked up a Mra Maverick in .308 with a 16" barrel. I was wondering what works best in this barrel length for Factory loads?.. Any an all insight would be useful..up to an including reloading for future reference.. Thanks

Makes no difference, the loss in performance due to barrel length will be the same from load to load. Google 308 barrel length velocities, plenty of good write ups and experiment data to illustrate with happens with common loads. The short answer, 16" barrels on 308 aren't bad compared to 20".

I like hornady eld‐x and -ms for hunting. Had good luck with Berger hybrids too.
