Hi guys,

I've been buying Hornady 178 gr BTHP until now, but it's getting hard to find (no more boxes on the shelves, like at all!). I was wondering, for a paper killer rifle, what ammo would you recommend as replacement, where the brass will be good to keep for reloading (guys around me led me to buy Hornady BTHP because the brass was top notch and a keeper with an ok price point).

Looking for the same price point, so around 45$+tx/20rounds or less. If you've got preferred suppliers that never run out, info is very appreciated! I'm in Quebec for localization purposes.

Thanks in advance!

...and this is the reason I started rolling my own. It's very hard to find a reliable source of ammo once you know what your gun likes.

This isn't to encourage more folks to reload, I can can use your discarded brass and too many people are interfering with my activities as a brass vulture :p.

Have heard good things about Black Hills Ammo. So just this wknd I ordered a couple of boxes of .223 to try out.

Its expensive ammo but your goal of $45 per 20 is at least realistic when it comes to premium ammo

From the research I had done prior to placing an order it would seem that Black Hills brass is second only to Lapua. Hope that my gun likes the load and I can shoot them until I have accumulated enough brass for a season of gopher shooting, then begin reloading.
