New to air rifles, getting a Diana 350 Magnum 22 cal. Did research but could use some experienced advice. I want a fixed 4x with proper parallax of good quality. I know this probably comes up often so if I can be directed to a previous thread please direct me or advise me to a proper choice. I came across a Leapers UTG 1" 4X32 Full Size AO Mil-dot Scope but not sure if this is a good scope.
Thank you.

Are you set on 4 power? I have a 3-9x and find myself wanting more magnification. I am probably going sightron.

What budget?

Hi, keep in mind you must be very accurate when hunting with an A/G.
Your 350 will have about one quarter the muzzle energy of a .22 lr.
Very little shock is transferred to your target.
You must hit in the vitals, (brain or heart) to make a clean kill.
Use as much magnification as you can carry and hold on target comfortably.
Good luck.
P.S.
I have Leapers/UTG 4-16x50mm,3-9x32mm,8-32x56mm.
Hawke 2-7x32mm
Bushnell Legend 5-15x40mm
all mounted on airguns.

I had a inexpensive Walther 4x air gun scope on a tuned Crossman springer that was about 700fps and it held zero as long as I had it, and my baddy has owned if for the last 4 years hasn't had a problem either.

Would an older leupold m8 4x work or would the reverse recoil wreck it?

I don't have the answer. But if it were me, I'd look up the company's website and contact them with your question. 4x would be fine. I have a 5-15x on my #1 squirrel killer. And it stays on 5x due to the need to take quick shots at 10 yards as well as opportunities out to 40 yards. You don't have time to change the power/parallax on the fly sometimes.

I had the honor of looking through an older Leupold 4x just recently, and I now understand what all the talk is about. It didn't matter whether I pointed it at an object 15 yards or 200 yards away, all the details were crystal clear and bright.

Another to add the the options is this one: www.dlairgun.com/Scopes/Hawke/069_VANTAGE_2-7X32_AO_MIL_DOT_14111.html?

My concern with the Leupold is the parallax is probably set at 100 yds. and if the scope doesn't like the recoil that's a $200.00 scope shot ( no Canadian warranty ). I'm thinking of the Hawke fixed 4x, theirs 2 of them not sure which one I'll pick if that's what I decide.

The only Leupold's that don't get warranty support are the ones imported outside of Korth in the last 5 years of so..... an older one is good to go.
Korth who handles Warranty and Import can also adjust the parallax for you and give the scope a once over at their shop for a modest fee.

I've got one of these Legend 5-15 AO's and they are spring rated and good scopes for the money....... a bit bigger then a fixed 4X but magnum springers are pretty heavy anyways so I doubt you will notice much difference.

This will be a walk around hunter 4x is all I want, might check out having parallax lowered on my 4x M8 if the cost sounds ok. I know the rifle is already somewhat heavy but I should do fine.
