Is there a popular choice of 9mm bullet weight for use in Glock 17's?

I want to buy a bulk pack of 500 or 1000 but want to make sure the stuff I get go well with the Glock. I have the choice of 115gr, 124gr or 147gr.

I ask because I keep hearing that the 115gr bullet is pretty snappy in a Glock, and that some bullet weights are a bit more accurate. I don't know what the performance difference would be between the 115gr and 147 if any, and was thinking maybe going 124gr would be best seeing as it's the middle of the road.

Any input?

Thanks

I've shot 115, 124 and 147 gr. in my G17. Some difference in "feel" when shooting but nothing significant, IMO. Accuracy seems to be very similar as well.

Best advice would be for you to pick up some single boxes of various weights and give them a try in your pistol, YMMV.

I like shooting 124Gr CMJ out of my P226. I found the 115's to be very snappy and the 147s alittle heavy. However I have been shooting alot more since I did that test and since I have started reloading I found a perfect load with 124Gr bullets but I want to get some 147s and try those.

My Glock shoots everything just fine so far.

Did a little recoil test, Fiocchi 124 (I think) vs Golden Saber 147's vs Corbon 115 +p. Corbon and Fiocchi felt the same, Golden Sabers had significantly less recoil/flip.

That being said, for the range I buy what's cheap.
