Best all around 12ga autoloader

Looking to make a purchase that covers a lot of bases - need an all around autoloader 12gauge at reasonable price as am just getting into the sport. Preferably want trap to turkey flexibility - maybe even a deer gun at some point.

Any and all of your experiences would be appreciated.

I'm going to say a A400. The trick is choosing between the 3.5 and 3" models.

If you're budget is $1000 plus...a Browning Silver is a good choice. If your budget is in the $500 range, I would go with a Mossberg 930.

Good used Remington 1100 Magnum. Buy the slug barrel later when needed for deer. Easy to work on, reliable, well engineered and lots of parts available. Best of all decent shape 1100 Magnums trade at around 500.00 or less. Did I mention a sh-- load of extra barrels, stocks etc also available. I am an 1100 owner (3 of them) and I endorse this message.

Remington 1100 with chokes.
Once one understands the rubber o-ring and light oil you are good to go.
Plus there is the beauty in the wood too.

Remington Versa Max, lots of good reviews and shoots everything.

I've got a Tactical version being modified at Tactical Ordnance now, gonna be a long 4 to 6 weeks but it'll be a nice Christmas present. There is a 25" rifled slug barrel available and if I get into 3 gun, I'll get a 26" barrel marked for 3.5" shells so I can have 7+1+1.

It's futile though, to many choices to many flavours..not enough bewei to accomadate.
