best all round 44 mag rifle game stopper bullet ?

I wanted to try them in the marlin but it won't Feed them up the nose catches. So I returned them and grabbed some FTX.

225gr Hornady FTX. Excellent accuracy, a little more range & Velocity due to improved BC from pointed design and lighter weight. I've taken 3 deer with this bullet, a friend 2 blackies, all bang-flops, great expansion and total penetration. Had no trouble busting through Ribs and spine and staying together. I like the flex tip - I do think it aids in expansion. If you don't want to hand load, just buy a couple boxes of .44 leverevolution.

You don't need a dangerous game hardcast for a deer or black bear, you aren't shooting an elephant. A 225gr quality bullet travelling at 1750 fps is more than enough.
