All else being equal, which is more accurate, 62gr or 55gr?

I had Federal 55gr boattails before and it was fairly accurate and reliable.

I am looking at 62gr Winchester that TSE has for sale or 55gr Winchester at Marstar.

Thanks

I suppose different people will report different results. I have used both the 55 and 62 grain bullets in my old Colt SP1 carbine. It has a decided preference for the 55 grainers, accuracy-wise.

The SP1 was the original semi-auto AR15 for the civilian market. Colt produced them from 1964-1985. All of them had 1:12" barrels as far as I know, so 55gr ammo is about as heavy as you can go.
