I'm curious what you have found to be the best overall muzzle device? I'm looking for one to give me less rise and flash. I also don't care if its loud for others at the range as I usually shoot in the bush. Note: this is NOT for an AR but for another rifle that has AR threaded barrel end.

Like your sig line states.

However the most effective out there is the JP tank brake. Not so great with flash and it is the loudest. The Surefire is a straight back inpulse. Very loud. If your looking for less muzzle flash with being flat shooting - you may want to look at the PWS stuff. I had the comp and didn't really give too much flash and was loud.

Of all the brake THat I have try out in the pass, these are some of my Favour.

Some are louder than the other!

I recently switched my Blackout flash hider for a Battlecomp, definitely more flash but considering I switched cause my ar was too jumpy i love this little thing... no rise at all anymore. I definitely recommend it.

KAC MAMS seriously peeked my interest in it since seeing KevinB's course run with the SR-25C.

Whoever purchased the one for sale from the EE a week or two ago: I'm interested in getting more info/review/details about it.

For bush shooting you might not always be wearing hearing protection, so noise is an issue. I fired one shot out of a 10.5" with no ears on and it was painful (damaging).

I just tested a S & J Linear Compensator (the 2" version) on my 10.5" and it made a huge difference to the noise level. Noise went out to the front - not to the side or rear. Recoil was reduced and I think muzzle jump reduced, but I have not tested for jump yet.

At only $50, this seems like a good bet.
