We just received a shipment of these 2 ELEMENT OPTICS rangefinders - the HELIX 1500 and the TITAN 3K.

For those who don't know Element Optics - it was started by a design team hailing from Sweden, South Africa and the USA. The Element Optics team comprises Johan Axelsson of FX Airguns in SWEDEN, Matt Dubber from South Africa, Shane Kellar from the USA and Henrick Bengtsson of Sweden.

ELEMENT OPTICS HELIX 1500

Personally, I don't think there's ANYTHING on the market (at this price) that can compare with this HELIX 1500, never mind BEAT it.... Ballistics dope out to 1500m for an unbelievably low price of only $450....unbelievable to say the least!! Take my word for it.

The HELIX 1500 is not just any rangefinder. Despite its ultra-lightweight & compact form, this unit will present you with an accurate firing solution out to 1500 Meters, harnessing the full power of the integrated Ballistics Chip to factor in weather conditions, incline, spin drift and more. Create a ballistic profile on an app, send it across in seconds, and have the relevant data displayed on a crisp T-OLED Display.

This unit will give you all your (accurate) ballistics "DOPE" info out to 1500 meters.

TITAN 3K RANGEFINDER

Same goes for the even more powerful TITAN 3K - at only $599, you get accurate ballistics dope out to 3000m. And it WORKS!!!

The TITAN 3K is not just any rangefinder. At the push of a button, this unit will present you with an accurate firing solution out to 3000 meters, harnessing the full power of the integrated Ballistics Chip to factor in weather conditions, incline, spin drift and more. The high-capacity rechargeble 18650 battery ensures many hours of continuous use, and can be USB-Charged on your way to the range.

This unit will give you all your ballistics "DOPE" info out to 3000 meters.

I've been playing with these 2 rangefinders for the past few days now, and I'm absolutely BLOWN AWAY by how cheap they are, and how much they're able to perform for the low price they sell at.

I get instant, consistent hits on the Helix 1500 at 1200m with no effort whatsoever. And super nice to get dope in MOA, MIL, Clicks, cm or inches. You can actually specify the readout to be MRAD, 0.2 MRAD, 0.1 MRAD, MOA, 1/2 MOA, 1/4 MOA, 1/8 MOA, Inch or CM.

The 6 brightness display settings go from dim (great in very low light), to SUPER SUPER bright for daylight use. They are SO bright at setting 6, that it actually feels too bright. The APP is super easy to set up, and stores 4 gun profiles - which only takes a few seconds to send a new profile to the unit from the phone app.

The Helix 1500 unit weighs nothing.... a mere 150 grams.

The Titan 3K is an even NICER unit, capable of measuring distances up to 3000m and giving a ballistics dope readout to 3000m as well. Same features as the HELIX 1500 when it comes to choosing the readout - MRAD, MOA, Clicks, inches or cm etc. AND, it has a rechargeble 18650 battery, that you can charge while you're driving to the range etc.

The TITAN 3K is a little larger, but still weighs only 362 grams, but due to the slightly larger footprint, it incudes a tripod adapter already built into the bottom of the unit for mounting directly onto a tripod.

With this TITAN 3K, I am able to consistently range a clump of trees from my deck at 2650 meters, that an expensive rangefinder Bino I have here, will NOT range....

Both come with really nice cases as well - with belt loop/molle attachments and silent opening and closing feature.

You HAVE to see and use these 2 units, to believe how absolutely AWESOME they are.

Those that know me personally, know I don't just try and do a sale....I sell what I personally believe in, and what I personally use or would use. These 2 rangefinders are exactly THAT - they are beyond awesome, and more so even due to the crazy low prices.

Cheers

Robbie

If it claims 1500m how far does it reasonably work out to? I have a 1200 or 1300 class Nikon rangefinder, and 700 is rare to actually get a reading, nevermind 1000+... I see you mention getting hits out to 1200, what are you aiming it at for that kind of result? Can you range a tree or large rock at that distance?

$450 for a ballistics rangefinder that ACTUALLY works out to 1000+ would be a pretty damn good deal...

Unfortunately I don't have a large rock or single tree that far from me, but I do have houses and clumps of trees around 1220m and 1250m from my front door, and I can range them without fail every button press.

I would dare to say this unit will comfortably range pretty much anything to 1000+ meters.

I'll take a drive out this weekend and see what I can range at distance. But it's still very impressive at this kind of money, with having awesome ballistics features onboard.

Do you think this doesn't seem true?

Do you think this doesn't seem true?

His questions are legit - there are so many RF's that claim a certain distance capability, and can't deliver on half of the claimed distance.... But this Helix 1500 has surprised me a LOT - given it will consistently range the 1250m targets I have at my disposal.

If anyone has ANY questions or concerns, please call me on 403-430-1166 as I happily answer any questions I am able to answer. My phone is ALWAYS with me, and ALWAYS on!!!

My "1300yd" rangefinder rarely gets me to 700 in a hunting scenario where I'm ranging off trees, rock outcrops, etc. so yes, I absolutely think it is worth asking about. When I get another rangefinder I want one that will clearly outperform what I already have, otherwise why bother? Ballistic calculations are cool and all but not cool enough to get me to buy a new rangefinder if I'm not also getting something that works at longer distances.

Fully agree with your statement - BUT, the built-in ballistics are an absolute game changer. Been using LRF and LRF/Bino's with onboard ballistics since 2017, and can't ever go back. Haha. With the press of the button, I get the dope I need to dial and it's bang on.

These are very hard to beat at the price.

Interesting findings tonight.... AT 22h00 (dusk) I ranged a house's roof at 1853 meters with this Helix 1500. It's supposed to be a 1500m rangefinder, and it ranged to 1853 meters. Pretty impressive for a $450 unit.

The ballistics don't mean much, as I didn't redo the actual ballistics of one of my rifles - I just used one of the pre-loaded profile the unit had on it from the distributor, as this is a loaner unit.

I took a crappy photo with my phone, to show it actually hit the 1850m target, and displayed a ballistics solution out to 1853 meters (METERS, not YARDS).

I ranged the same house 5 times, and 5 times I got a range. They were 1852, 1854, 1853, 1852 and 1853m repectively.

I really AM impressed. I'm sure the fact it was dusk helped it a bit, but it was still impressive given it's 24% OVER the stated limit of the unit.

Here's the photo as reference. Ignore the "upside down numbers in lighter colour - it was the reflection when I took the photo holding the phone in one hand, and the RF in the other. Not a pro photo by any means.

Cheers

Robbie

Is there weather sensors on board? Or do you manually have to update the environmental’s to the rangefinder from the app?

No sensor onboard unfortunately, but it was apparently left out specifically to keep the price this low. It’s quicker to upload the weather info from the internet using the app on your phone, but it can also be entered manually or from your phone’s built-in barometer. On the app, there's a section that says "current weather", which has an update button and will then pull weather info from the closest weather station using data on your phone. That will in turn update the temperature, air pressure and humidity.
