Best bang for my buck bolt action?

the cz scout is a kids size gun. I am 6'5" and can shoot it very accurately, and for a truck gun it would be perfect because of its size and accuracy out of such a small rifle, its the least ammo sensitive rifle in the stable and shoots cheap stuff well, better, much better than other higher end 22's. A heavy barrel is not a good truck gun and the balance on them is the pits compared to a little scout, you will never kick yourself for buying a 'short' cz 452

I have a Savage mark II with accutrigger and heavy barrel. I put a bushnell banner 6X18X50mm scope on it and could not be happier. I sold a ruger 10/22 target model to get this gun and am glad I did. This would be the route I would recommend granted I have never touched a CZ and do wonder if they are just as good or better. I took my mark II out today and did an ammo test with 13 different types of common ammo doing 10 shot groups to see what ammo the gun likes best. I came up with some interesting results. First off let me say that my gun at least is really not too ammo picky at all. It shot decent groups with most ammo. Ammo used was as follows.

1- winchester 37 grain hollow point
2-winchester 40 grain powerpoint
3-winchester wildcat 40 grain
4-american eagle 38 grain copper plated
5-remington cyclone 36 grain hollow point
6-remington target 40 grain round nose
7-remington golden bullet plated round nose 40 grain
8-blazer 40 grain
9-federal game shok 38 grain copper plated hollow point
10-federal game shok 40 grain copper plated solid
11-cci velocitor 40 grain copper plated hollow point
12-cci mini mag high velocity 36 grain
13 winchester 333 36 grain hollow point

Out of all those types the federal game shok 40 grain copper plated solid was the worst grouping. The best grouping was remington cyclone 36 grain hollow point. Bang for the buck was won by the blazer ammo (made by CCI). I really like Blazer .22 ammo because it seems to shoot good in most .22's and is not that expensive. The biggest surprise of the day came from the winchester 333 stuff. It would group terrible in my ruger 10/22 target and I figured it was total garbage. Not so, the savage mark II likes it. Not the best groups of the bunch but unlike in the ruger, it was not that bad.
Sorry to go off on a tangent there. In short I guess I am saying if you go with a savage mark II it will not cost an arm and a leg and once you find the ammo your particular rifle likes you will have a big smile on your face. For example today I took the cardboard backing from my ammo test and spit/sprayed chewed up apple onto it and rested it on an army ant nest. At 27 yards exactly I was using the Blazer ammo and sniping the ants that would crawl up on the cardboard to enjoy the apple.
