Best Bipod ??

I belive the one I have is rock river or somthing like that. It's a harris knock off, but less money. Get one that's taller than you need. You never know when you'll be shooting in tall grass. Short bi-pods are useless unless your on a bench, and get one that swivels and tilts. Far more versitile.

Try this. It's the only picture I've got.

Harris is probably the best bipod out there (spoken by a guy who knows nothing about bipods :D ) but for the money the knock off harris bipods like the one Pharaoh 2 has work well :)

It's a Shooters Ridge - Rock Mount :)

I have a Harris 1A 9-13" on the way off the EE. Non Swiveling though

I have used several brands and still like the Harris swivel model the best. Get the one with the notches in the legs. 9 to 13" works well for most things I do but I also have a set of steady stix for tall grass etc when hunting.

I am in the market for a bi-pod as well and all my research has pointed me to a Harris "S" that swivels and approx $149.00 CND at Russels Calgary

Series "S": Rotates to either side for instant leveling on uneven ground. Hinged base has tension adjustment and buffer springs to eliminate tremor or looseness.

HB25C-S - Extends 13 1/2" to 27" Three Piece Standard Legs, "S" Series (Swivels)

It seems every other bi-pod is a comprimise and $150.00 is not to steep a price for quality.
I can see myself buying a $75-$99 bipod and ending up buying the Harris anyhow. So...I'll bite the bullet now rather than later.

Cheers
Timo

thanks for all the info!....i did see a used one at a gunshow a few weeks back for 30.00 but im not sure what make...probably a knock off at that price.
i see tons of em on ebay...i guess i may bite the bullet as well and get a harris..
Dan.........

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I was wondering if anyones ever used the type of bipod that clamps around the barrel of a gun? I have a 10/22 with a BC folding stock and I dont think it would be easy to get a permanent bipod on and it would prolly be an ugly combo.

This or this is what I mean:

+1 to everything. I like the [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]HBLM-S model - Extends 9" to 13" with Leg Notches, "S" Series (Swivels).

The notched legs and swivels are certainly worth the price
