Best black rifle

Looking for options on my next purchase. I'm planning on buying something non-restricted, semi auto, chambered in .223 or 9mm and under $1000. Rifle will also possibly do double duty as a coyote gun (under 100 yards) and I am planning on mounting a 1-4x scope on it.

So far I am looking at the SU-16, sub 2000 in sig (I run an NP-22), mini-14, and CSA with M4 stock in 223. Or do I wait in the long ass line up for a T97.

IMO, running a pistol caliber for coyotes isn't a fantastic idea, especially when you have .223 to compare it to. You may want to add AR180b and XCR to the list. The T97nsr would be the ultimate midrange coyote gun, but it'll be a while until we have them.

Your only option at that price is the vz58. It's perfect for everything listed and a great rifle. I have 3 of them I like them so much. If you save longer the xcr or tavor would be great.

Leviathan's got the idea. You can have some good fun with a Vz58. I've got a pair in .223

I'm guessing there is no decent scope mounts for the CZ or VZ? I was hoping to run a low powered scope but its not a deal breaker.

The Vz's (CSA made) come with a side rail attached for a POSP type scope mount, or you can put a rail on it and use a red dot mounted forward.

Looks like a really nice mount, but for $900 for the rifle (with M4 stock), $300 for the mount, $85 for the AR mag adaptor plus a budget optic (that I already have) and taxes it would be about $1600 into a plinking gun. I'd rather use that money towards an AR-180B if I'm going to spend that much.
