You better check the regulations before you go hunting bobcats in Ontario. They are considered a furbearer and I believe can only be taken by trapping methods. That being said, I hope somebody corrects me if I'm wrong.

hey bigdawg, don't hunt em but lots do in b.c.,try okanogan outfitters, think there out of penticton, got so close to a linx about amonth ago ,driving out of the bush around 100 mile house,I could have smacked it on the butt with a stick out the window of my truck.no bull.good luck

"...I believe can only be taken by trapping methods...." Yep. No kitty hunting in Ontario. Licenced trapping only.
A guided hunt for bobcats in B.C. will cost you a bundle. One site says $3500 plus the cost of the licences.

hot dang thats machos grande i thought out east there was some good spots for cat huntin might aswell go down south i know they don't charge 3500

Do a Yahoo search for each province then to their MNR. Look at the hunting regs. However, you'll likely find kitty is either protected or it's trapping only.

First I've heard that you can take a cat with a gun in NS...I know for sure you can only take them in a trap in NB. Contrary to popular belief there are quite a few in the woods here but the season is over now...you'll to wait until next year.

I believe YES you can hunt them in NS but will need a furbearers lic. I also heard just a few days ago that you will be able to hunt cats in NB as of this coming fall. I have nothing to back that up but if it is true, then I am definitely going to give it go.

We have a few cats on PEI, I have never seen one or even a sign, no hunting for them allowed here. Apparently trappers will get a couple every year but almost no one ever sees them.
