Best Bolt Action Marlin Rimfire .22 WMR?

did a search for some info but came up snake eyes. i'm looking for a good quality MARLIN bolt action 22 mag - *must be bolt action 22 magnum*

which model do you recommend? i've read about the 25M and the 983(2). the 25M seems to be getting my attention. i really like the monte carlo stocks.

if you have photos of your Marlin 22 mag rifles...feel free to post.

I have a 25M - in fact it was my first firearm given to me for Christmas when I was 12.

It's a great little plinker.

i like the newer version 925M as well..but it's a little plain looking. i definately want one with a magazine...not a tube..

I have the older 25MN .
Great for Jacks and 'yotes inside 150yd... If they stand still long enough for me ...lol
I carry 3 mags ready to go . Cheap Tasco 3-9x32 duplex scope which does the job nicely .
I've treated this rifle like a workhorse and it still functions beautifully.
Speedfires like a good ol Lee Enfield and begs for more.

Timberlord, that's what i'm looking for..one with the monte carlo stock...very nice set up! i'm thinking the 25M is likely the best quality bolt marlin has manufactured.

Ive had the 982VS for quite a few years now ... Composite stock, stainless bolt action and heavy stainless barrel with crown... Bought it used ... Tinkered with irons and various scopes ... This rifle has been my range queen!!! I can't begin to describe how well she shoots both clean and dirty and not too fussy when it comes to playing with different ammo... Always draws compliments from fellow shooters on and off the line... Cant complain! Would recommend to anyone as it's a great bang for the buck! literally
