Best bolt action rifle stock design?

i really like the new winchester model 70's sporter and featherweight stocks

Can one get an Echols stock as a drop-in for a Model 70 SG, FWT, or EW SS? I'd definitely like to try one.

They will work with the above, but do require pad, studs, and paint. Some inletting will be required for the bottom metal on the EW.

Sako Hunter for me. I like the palm swell and the monte carlo cheek piece.

I agree and have always wanted one of those, classy and pretty. For me a straight grained piece of walnut would do it.

I have to agree with this.

I like the "classic" style stock with a high, straight comb. I don't mind Monte Carlo stocks that aren't over the top (eg. pre-64 Model 70), but I absolutely detest Weatherby or similar stocks.

Does the Sako hunter stock handle recoil better than a featherweight or other classic style stock?

I personally prefer the Sako m75 stock.
