First is a single, J.Stevens arms company, patented aug 12 1913. ( the barrel was cut down on this one, said it was really long)

Second is a sxs,J.Stevens arms & tools co, mod 235.

I had a real nice 235 for years , great gun ,for light lead loads.
Check the chamber length in before you shoot it, could be 2 1/2 "
the single I have seen with a 36" barrel, gets you closer to the geese I guess.
You could find a fore wood possibly at westen gun parts in Edmonton.
Or Kerry Higgins a saskatoon gunshoppe has a lot of used parts like this.

That SxS would be lovely for cowboy action work if shortened up a little. Some of the folks shooting the event more for fun than to win love the old style exposed hammer style guns.

Either way from the looks of things you've got some fun and rewarding times ahead doing the whole restoration thing.

Can I hate you? Cause if I can I do...If I can't I still do...take pictures well your doing the restoration and when your done and show us them. Looks to be like you will have some nice guns when your done restoring them. I'm mostly jealous of the SxS... I love SxS's with hammers.
