Best budget big bore?

Your 30-06 will take down any animal in Canada . If you want another long range rifle with easy ammo availability , the 300 WM would be the best option from your list . If you wanted a shorter range brush rifle , the 45-70 is a good option , but not many around for under a 1000 bucks .
 
You aren't undergunned with a 30-06... but if you want a new rifle then 300wm, 338wm, 9.3x62, 375 are all good hunting cartridges. If you reloa the 9.3x62 is a great round but factory ammo can be hard to locate and very expensive.

The 338 is hard to beat imo. That said my goto is a 695 Tikka 300wm and it would be the last rifle I ever part with. Good for everything.
