Hey all,

Getting some Under Amour EVO hunting gear for my up coming birthday...it comes it both Mossy Oak Infinity and Real Tree AP.

Which would be better?

Thanks,

- J

Lucky you, nice looking clothing line...Real Tree AP look's like a good pattern for around here, that's what I would pick. Although it won't matter much if you have to wear hunter orange over it.

They both look like a dark blob, so choose what looks best to you. All these new highly detailed camo patterns are not concealing you like you may think. Personally, I'd get outfitted with Predator camo.

Best camo for Northern Ontario?

No? ;)

Eric_911 FTW!!!

Depends on the season. Early season, I like Break Up Infinity. Late season, Realtree AP.

But like it was already said, it doesnt matter since you'll most likely be wearing orange!

Well...I am getting this stuff as it makes a great base layer, UA IMO makes some great stuff and even more so with their new EVO line. I prefer all my camo to match...a personal thing and if I can have a "do all" one that would be awesome. I both both hunt and coyote hunt (all year round) so with that in mind...

Is one better then the other?

Pick the one that has spots with the most contrast. This will break up your outline better than a pattern that is all of similar color. That's why I recommended Predator camo. It has large chunks of dark and light colors to really break up your outline. If you're set on Realtree camo, have a good look at them and choose the one that has the most contrast.

It is all about breaking up your outline and shape. Deer only see in yellow and blue (basically black and white) and also see UV much better than us so make sure it doesn't glow under a black light ;)

I agree, UA makes good quality garments. I wore UA heatgear baselayers under a pair of UA fleece lined camo pants and a Scent Blocker Dream Season baselayer long sleeve shirt and a UA blaze orange hoodie. I was comfy and warm right up till the freezing point!

I was impressed to say the least. Even once the temp dipped below zero, all I did was add a fleece vest under the hoodie, and I was once again completely comfy and warm!

Probably wouldn't be as nice if you are planning on sitting for hours on end, I tend to do lots of walking, then sitting for an hour or so, then doing some more walking.

Thats where I became even more impressed! Before I started using the UA stuff, I was either comfy when sitting and sweating while walking or I was freezing while sitting and ok while walking. This stuff works wonders as no matter what I am doing, sitting or walking, I am completely comfortable and dry.
