Hey guys,

I just purchased a McMillan A5 stock for my Remington 700 5R Milspec chambered in .300 WinMag. I'm looking for some bottom metal for it. What brands do you guys recommend and where are the best places to purchase it from in Canada? The stock says it was inletted for ATRS DBM. Does this restrict me on what bottom metal I can go with? Also I am thinking of getting a few parts cerakoted. Any recommendations for that as well? Thanks for the input!

Best to call ATRS and ask them. It would also be best to use their DBM since your stock is already inletted. Sometimes it is necessary to adjust the depth of the inletting when fitting the DBM for proper feeding. Mcmillan has already done this for you with an ATRS DBM. Should be plug n play. Any other DBM is a roll of the dice unless ATRS uses an identical pattern to another DBM.

Contact ATRS and see if their DBM is based off the M5 pattern. If so, you're golden. $550. Ouch! Does that come with a mag at least?

NOTE the part where it says "INSTALLED with 1 mag" for the $550.00. The badger stuff is well over that installed price when 1 has a professional install it. Ours however does not have all the razor sharp edges that badger has so you will still need your razor for shaving with.

OP Our mag system will drop in if the stock was inletted by McMillan for our DBM kit. Cost of complete kit is $450.00 plus tax and shipping to you.
