Best deal/DIY on a tree stand.

Thinking of picking up a tree stand for deer and pig. Is there a good deal on one on the internet or store? Or is there a god set of plans for making one out of wood?

I've made a number of ladderstands myself but for this price I wouldn't bother making any more.

Because of the high theft rate for tree stands... (I had two stolen on one weekend) I now carry my treestands in and out for each hunt. What a pain, but necessary..

So, having said that, I suggest a small lightweight model like the baby kong, the one's I use... I think I paid $69 for mine at can tire when they were on sale...

That would be a good idea except they won't be on sale till after I need it. I might just order the one posted earlier. I couldn't find and Canadian stores on their list.

I bought a Baby Gorilla stand at S.I.R. for about $90 bucks. It also comes with a full body safety harness, so that is one less expense (assuming you'd use one). Lots of guys seem to like this stand, so I figured I'd try one too.

I went to Cantire today and WS. I guess I don't wanna spend a ton on one that I'll only use once or twice this year. That one posed in the states looks pretty nice though. I think I might pick something up in the next couple weeks IDK. What I do know is that they will be on sale after hunting season.
